Hemopoietic stimulant components from Angelicae Gigantis Radix

Abstract
|
|
|
Angelica gigas is perannual plant(Umbeliferae) whose underground part is used medical purpose as tonifying blood and blood stagnancy regulation.
The water fraction of Angelicae Gigantis Radix showed hemopoietic stimulant effect.
And the hemopoietic stimulant components from Angelicae gigantis Radix was persued to isolate by Membrane filter and Chromatographic system.
The subfractionation of the water fraction of Angelicae gigantis Radix with Ambelite XAD-2 Column Chromatography showed its hemopoietic stimulants effet in subfaction Ag 2(H_2O eluate) and Ag 9(90∼100% MeOH eluate)
Ag2 was obtained as polysaccharide fraction from the membrane filtration(Salcoton-Mini ULTRASART module)and its range of molecular weight was 100,000-200,000
Fraction Ag 9 which was 90-100% MeOH eluate gave one major component nodakenin(Ag 9-1, 5g) and this compound exhibited hemopoietic stimulants effect. And decursin which was known to major component of Angelicae Gigantis Radix was yielded very small amounts because of pretreatment with dichloromethane.
